So, I haven't been here in awhile.
I posted one of my new paintings. It's nice. I also put a professional photograph of my "The Inner Life" painting up, instead of the crappy one I took, so hopefully everybody likes that... Uhm... Moving to Norway in the fall sometime, depends on a lot of factors. Trying to practice drawing, but can be lazy. Spending a lot of time with my online love.

I've been daydreaming a lot, but that's not new. Dreaming, too. My dad says that my dreams are way too long. He only remembers fragments, and that's good enough. I remember entire stories. I wonder if our dreams are where creativity truly stems from?
I don't know. All I know is that one day I was bad at art, but I loved it, and the next day I was good. That's how it felt. I think the more time you spend at something you love, the better it becomes.. I don't think it has anything to do with "Talent".. It's maybe 2 % talent. Really, it's a passion for what you're doing. If you love it enough, you'll do anything to better yourself at it. That's how it works for me. Maybe some have more aptitude towards it, I don't know. I don't really care.
I'm just stubborn, and that's my opinion on it. People who tell me they can't draw, they can only draw stick people, I call bullshit. They can draw if they really want to. If you don't practice, of course you won't get any better. What we know in our minds about how to draw well is the tools we use. So if we don't update those tools after we're in grade 3, try new things and get more experience, of course we're not going to get any better. We're using old tools in our minds, old symbols, instead of exploring and trying new things.
People don't do art and get good at it in one day. It doesn't work like that for anything. And in knowing that, you could really become great at anything you love to do, couldn't you? I could get good at piano, and guitar, and violin... I could become an expert in natural medicines, in ancient artefacts. I could read up on all of the subjects that interest me, and become genius at them.
Now, if only I weren't so lazy. Am I right?
